ABOUT GOATSNME
(ME AND MY LOVE OF GOATS)

Welcome!  I started in California in 1997 with one big grade Nubian.  I transitioned to Boers so for a few years I raised both Nubian and Boer goats.  In 2005 my husband, Cal, and I sold all of the animals, our home, and much of our personal belongings to move to Checotah, Oklahoma and buy a convenience store.  Running that store took all of my time and energy until 2010 when my health began to fail.  Spring of 2010 I purchased a beautiful bottle baby doe (Charm) from Andrea Forrest of Forrest Pride and we attended our first show ever.  Charm and I stood last but we loved showing!   More goats followed.  I quit working the store like it should be worked and focused my attention on the animals I love.   Cal had a new demanding job, so we sold the store and bought property in rural McIntosh County, Oklahoma so we could raise goats and live the good life.  The first year for the GOATSNME herd is 2011!
